Greetings from Pensacola, Florida! We are staying cool by basically doing two things here...swimming at the pool in the morning and visiting Mitch in the hospital every three hours for feedings where it is nice and cool!

Mitch is doing very well! He has gained weight and is now over his birth weight! He is being bottle fed at each feeding at this point and is preparing to come home. He is out of the incubator and in a "crib" now which means he is able to maintain his own body temperature. Now we just have to get those feedings all down and we are good! Mike and I can not wait to take his feeding tube out. It is through his nose and really does not allow us to see his cute face. He is so adorable and we are psyched to leave this hotel life. I do have to say that we are one of the lucky families as we have met many people whose babies are having surgery, staying in the NICU for 6 weeks and longer, or even worse. Mitch is doing great!!!!! Keep him and all the other babies in your thoughts and prayers.

Kelsey is having fun here but truly misses her home life. The first week was fine but now we hear her saying "I miss Fletcher and Belle and Papa and my swingset" or talking about her friends from the hood! She is keeping busy in the pool for an hour each morning and then she is knocked out for a long nap!!! Grandma Kelbe is keeping her busy as well while we go feed her "brudder". She is coming to terms now with having a brother but reality will hit when he is released from the hospital.

We hope that you are all happy and healthy. Have a great 4th of July!!! Keep e-mailing us when you get the chance!

Peace out!

Well as you can see, there is absolutely NOTHING NEW in the lives of the Regans. We just sit around all day and eat bon bons.

KIDDING! We have had a very busy month of June. First of all, we became matched with a birth-mother three weeks ago. Her pregnancy progressed much quicker than we ever thought it would. She was due in August but we were told that she would deliver in mid to late July. She went on bedrest three days after we spoke with her for the first time. She was on bedrest for almost two weeks when Mitchell decided that he wanted out of there. He was delivered at not quite 33 weeks and of course was placed in the NICU. He weighed in at 4 LBS 4.8 OZ and was 18 and 1/8 inches long. He has not been placed on a respirator or anything else at this point. His IV that was hydrating him has been removed and he is ALMOST ready to begin bottle feeding. We are not sure at this point how long we will be here. Kelsey is with us and so is Grandma Kelbe!! She has been a tremendous help. We were informed today that he will be moved to a lower risk unit tomorrow!!!! He is rockin and he can't wait to meet his BIG SIS, Kelsey.

Kelsey, of course, is doing great but is having a hard time adjusting to life with brother Mitch. She is excited but can't seem to grasp the reality of where he is. It was hard enough explaining to her that we were adopting him. But she is having a blast going swimming in the pool. She is doing AWESOME at swimming! She puts her entire head under water, opens her eyes, dog paddles. Grandma bought her some water arm floaties that work well for her. Tomorrow we are planning on going to the beach after a few visits to the NICU. Grandma is going in today to see Mitch while I hold Kelsey up to see him through the window as she is not allowed in there. We will keep posting pics as we take them.

We get to hold Mitch, change his diaper, and feed him (hold him while he is being fed through his tube). We are so thrilled to see how well he is doing and can only hope that his great progress continues. We will keep you all posted!!!!

Love - Wendy, Mike, Kelsey, Mitchell, Fletcher and Belle too.
